Sonoma Farm’s signature hot muffuletta (spicy Sicilian olive salad) consists of black olives and green olives that are cut by hand along with the celery, cauliflower and carrot, seasoned with oregano and garlic, covered in oil. The muffuletta is made in small batches.

The muffuletta sandwich was born in 1906 at the legendary Central Grocery in New Orleans, where founder Salvatore Lupo created the giant stuffed sandwich for fellow Sicilians who worked at the nearby wharves and French market. Named for the round seeded loaf of Sicilian bread that provides its foundation, the classic muffuletta is filled with salumi (cured meats), cheeses and olive salad.

Use on sandwiches, pasta, fish, eggs, hot dogs, hamburgers, as an appetizer, a dip mix it with cream cheese.

The one gallon bulk size is great for food service, restaurants and chefs.

    If you love olives but wish you could sprinkle them everywhere and not fuss with the dicing and slicing, then this is the solution for you. You can top a salad, crackers, hors d’oeuvres, dogs, burgers, sandwiches, Italian dishes, and so much more with this yummy minced version. Pickled olives and peppers finely diced for convenience. A reason to splurge. Food is a notch above normal when you can quickly add a topping like this to enhance the flavors.

    This salad is absolutely delicious! I thought it was wonderful when I had it in New Orleans, and that was years ago but I still remembered it all this time later

    Seeing as we are olive lovers my daughter recommended that we give it a try. We’d never heard of muffuletta before. WOW! Good decision.
    So yummy over garlic pasta, giving it that extra kick without overpowering the the other seasonings.
    I am going to try it with pita and homemade hummus. I’m sure that with sour cream or cream cheese it would make a fantastic dip and spread. Or just plain over a piece of crusty bruschetta.
    A great way to add salty, spicy ZING and texture to any dish!

    This olive salad is a sumptuous addition to most anything. I’ve used it with eggs, kimchi, shrimp and salads. The packaging of this product was 3 layer with plenty of bubble pack.
